Electronic Guest Mix House Rock

One of my long(er) term plans for this site was to eventually have guest DJ’s submit mixes, and diversify the sound a little bit. I’m glad to say that I’ve finally got our first guest. I’d like to welcome DJ Meph (@djmeph), half of Lune Noir, to the mix (no pun intended). I first met him the night I DJ’d at the Magic Stick, a few months back. House Shoes Mar 15

Electronic House

Keeping with the theme of mixes from different genres, I wanted to post a house mix. Since before I started this site I had never really spun house music, but I love listening to live mixes, especially from the likes of dj’s like Mark Farina and Derrick Carter. I don’t know a ton about the individual artists that produce house music so I’m still learning more, but I do know that I love listening to it.

I had to get used to mixing it though, and at first I thought it was easier than it really was. So I had a few sessions of mixing random tracks before I recorded, just because I had to get my footing. But I think it turned out well.

So enjoy this upbeat mix for Music Monday. Hopefully it wakes you up since everyone seems to drag on Mondays.
