We’re back with another guest mix! @die A. previously had a guest mix on this site, and I wanted to bring him back because his mixes are really good. So you’re going to want to play this. It’s very good, and very chill.

Guest Mix: DJ Double O – Trippin in the Disco Nov 12

I’m pretty excited to be posting this guest mix from Double O, who started DJ’ing at the exact same time as I did. I remember us both staring at this old mixer and turntable on one side, cd player on the other, wondering how the hell this stuff works. We spent countless hours record shopping, learning tricks, finding gigs, and and listening to other DJ’s. We always pushed ourselves to better our craft. He kept it going after I took a hiatus for a number of years to focus on my career.

This mix is very good though. I’ve listened to it a few times, and it’s quite the adventure of a mix. So check it out and play it loud!

Guest Mix: Steve Fox – Rhythm Sauce Aug 7

My buddy, Steve Fox, sent me over a mix that he cut together of some pretty chill hip hop tracks. It reminds me of Back in high school when we used to make tons of mixtapes on cassettes, and made sure we paused the endings of songs at just the right point so it would transition into the next song nicely. Those were the days.

Guest Mix: Gettin a Feel by OneDeep Mar 7

After a year of putting up mixes and such, I’m glad to say that I have a partner in crime on this site. OneDeep, aka my brother, just got himself some equipment, and I’ve convinced him to start getting me mixes to put up here. So this mix is one of his first, and I’ve listened to it many o’ times. I think it’s damn good for being one of the first mixes he’s made….ever. He’ll mostly be doing house mixes, so it’ll be nice to mix in other stuff with the [mostly] hip hop stuff I’ve been doing.

Guest Mix: Rocktronic by Lune Noir Jan 24

One of my long(er) term plans for this site was to eventually have guest DJ’s submit mixes, and diversify the sound a little bit. I’m glad to say that I’ve finally got our first guest. I’d like to welcome DJ Meph (@djmeph), half of Lune Noir, to the mix (no pun intended). I first met him the night I DJ’d at the Magic Stick, a few months back.
