Hump Day Bumps May 10

I was listening to 1200 Radio last night for the first time, and was loving what I was hearing. It only took a few minutes for me to get in the mood to mix up my own stuff, even though I badly wanted to hear the rest of the broadcast.

I think it turned out well though, because it sure was fun as hell to mix it.

Full Bloom Apr 4

We’re back with another house filled mix for those speakers. This is a nice simple little mix, with some really good tunes and great blends that I’m pretty proud of. If you’ve liked my previous house mixes, you’ll definitely dig this one.

I swear I haven’t abandoned hip hop mixes. I’m just having more fun spinning house. I have some ideas on new hip hop mixes, though. So those will return shortly.

Pocket Jacks Mar 14

I was checking out this weeks new releases from Traxsource, and after adding about 5 tracks to my cart, I was powering up my controller because I knew a new mix needed to happen with all the hotness that I was finding. Tons of great new tunes this week. So here are most of the tracks all mixed up.

I did a live broadcast of this one, and I’m going try to figure out a time to regularly do a live broadcast in the next few weeks. But you can listen to a few of the ones I’ve done in the last couple weeks here.

As this post goes live, I’ll be vacationing it up in the Caribbean. But I recorded this funky house mix last week, and honestly, I think it’s one of the best ones I’ve made. Lost in the Craft Jan 6

Happy new year to all my PR listeners. Thought I’d get the new year started here with some funky house music. Lots of new tracks that I picked up over the holiday season that I mixed up for your speakers. I think the mix turned out well. I’ve been using Traktor as my software because djay has been annoying me a bit. The levels on some of the tracks are a bit off, so I’m still adjusting to it.

I had been waiting for the release of the next major version of djay for quite some time and finally, a couple weeks ago, it was released. I must say, that it was worth the wait. They’ve added some great features. Aside from some minor lag with my controller, I’m liking it, and of course I had to do some mixing….specifically, of some house music.

So give it a listen if you want some boogie in your life.

Fall Movement Nov 10

We are back in the house (no pun intended) with another upbeat mix. I bought of bunch of new house tracks that I had yet to mix together. So this mix are the collection of tracks that I got, and there are some good ones. The first half of the mix felt rusty while mixing, but when I listened to the recording, it sounded pretty good. Much better than it felt mixing.

Live at OneDeep’s Birthday Party Aug 30

Last weekend OneDeep had a birthday party. He asked if I would play some tunes for a while, and of course I couldn’t decline that. I had just bought a bunch of new house tracks and needed a place to play them anyways.

OneDeep kicked things off with about a one hour set, and I followed with another 2 hours. Then he ended things off with another 30ish minutes. All funky. All house music. I had started to put together a playlist, then thought I’d just do things in true Press Record form, and just play what I feel at the time. And we recorded it all.
